Our story is truly a model of how hard work, determination, a courteous attitude, and the opportunity to live in a land of free enterprise can assemble a successful business. This company was begun by a 50 year old man at his kitchen table, financed by his own life savings. It has since grown into a 12MM a year company that consists of six lumber traders throughout the Northeast and Canada.
We are a lumber wholesale firm which concentrates on all Northern Appalachian, and Southern native hardwoods and softwoods, with specialties in Red Birch and Eastern White Pine. WE pride ourselves on our ability to serve the needs of our customers as well as our suppliers. We are a team of people who each come from a very special niche in the marketplace: from loggers and lumber inspectors, to sales people and transportation dispatchers. We know every face4t of this business and we all work together to ensure that our business associates are always treated fairly and courteously.
In September of 2000, Robert W. Brewer, a man with over 35 years experience in the forest products industry, embarked on a mission to establish Lumberjack Lumber Inc. After working for many years on behalf of other people, Rob decided to venture out on his own; utilizing the vast array of contacts he had amassed throughout the years,
Within the first year he teamed up with long-time associate and friend, Carl Hall, along with Carl s wife, Pricilla. The going was initially slow; however the three forged ahead, establishing new accounts while servicing existing ones. Over time, word spread throughout the industry about Rob and Carl, and the little business they had created, thus more and more people began to call, looking for lumber and related products. Buy April of 2002, the business had grown so much, Rob decided to hire his own daughter Meghan to handle the accounts receivable and payable, and to work a few sales for herself. Since that time, the business has continued to steadily grow at a rate of approximately 40% per year. Rob has hired on two additional sales associates, on of whom is based in Quebec, as a well known transportation coordinator. This affords the sales staff the time and attention needed to sustain the exemplary service to our accounts.
We delight in the fact that we can service our varied customers in so many different ways; be it straight loads of quality grade hard and softwood, large dimension timbers, fingerjo8int material, or unfinished and pre-finished flooring. No customer will ever be turned away with out an answer to their questions. If we can t answer you definitively, we ll find you someone who can.
